Quotes and pricing

Quotes are based on the information and photos you give us (door count, door type, what each door is doing). If the door on site differs materially from what was described, for example a multi-slide door described as a standard patio door, we tell you the revised price before doing any work. You can decline at that point with no charge beyond the diagnosis visit if we have already arrived.

Scope of work

We perform minor repairs on sliding doors: rollers, track caps, locks and handles, adjustment, weatherstripping, screen doors, sliding closet doors and insulated glass unit replacement. Each job stays under $1,000 in labor and materials, which California does not require a contractor license for (Business and Professions Code section 7048). We do not take permit work, structural work, frame replacement or new door installation; we will tell you when a job needs a licensed contractor.

Authorization

By booking you confirm that you own the property or are authorized by the owner, HOA or property manager to have its doors repaired. We may ask for ID and proof of authorization.

Payment

You pay when the door is done and you have run it yourself, unless we agreed to invoice you beforehand. Parts we supply are quoted before installation.

Workmanship

If a door we repaired stops gliding, locking or sealing because of our workmanship, tell us and we will come back and correct it. This does not cover new damage, misuse, a frame or track that continues to wear, water intrusion from outside the door, or hardware faults beyond our control; manufacturer warranties apply to parts.

Website content

Guides and answers on this site are general information from a working technician, not legal or engineering advice. Codes, HOA rules and door hardware change over time, so check the current rules for your own door and building.
