Yes. Track & Roller Co. repairs sliding glass doors in Imperial Beach, CA (ZIP 91932). Most of the housing stock dates from the 1950s through the 1970s: small single-story homes on the grid between Palm Avenue and Imperial Beach Boulevard, two-story apartment buildings, and the condo rows along Seacoast Drive with balcony sliders facing the water. The jobs we get called for most here are roller replacement, track repair and stainless track caps, landlords and property managers and grinding, scraping or metal shavings. New rollers run from $249 a door here, the same as anywhere in the county, and the number is fixed before the visit.

Most of the housing stock dates from the 1950s through the 1970s: small single-story homes on the grid between Palm Avenue and Imperial Beach Boulevard, two-story apartment buildings, and the condo rows along Seacoast Drive with balcony sliders facing the water. Original doors are aluminum on aluminum track, and a block from the sand the rollers rust and the track pits quickly. A large share of units are rentals, so landlords and property managers call us at turnover for rollers, locks and screens. Newer vinyl doors on infill townhomes have builder rollers that are easier to source but wear just the same in the salt.
Getting to you in Imperial Beach
From I-5 we exit at Palm Avenue, which is SR-75, and run west to Seacoast Drive, or exit Coronado Avenue for the north end of town. The Imperial Beach Pier sits at the foot of Evergreen Avenue, and the Bayshore Bikeway and the Tijuana River estuary bracket the town on the north and south. From central San Diego it is about 20 to 30 minutes down I-5, and we are often already in the South Bay between Chula Vista and Coronado jobs, so same-week scheduling is realistic here.

Imperial Beach questions
My Seacoast Drive condo slider grinds and leaves rust streaks on the track. What is going on?
The steel rollers have corroded in the salt air and the wheels are no longer turning, so the panel is skidding on the aluminum track and wearing a groove in it. We replace the rollers with stainless steel tandem rollers, cap the worn track with a stainless track cap and adjust the panel. The rust streaks stop because nothing in the new assembly is plain steel.
I manage rentals in Imperial Beach. Can you handle several doors in one visit?
Yes. Turnover work is a big part of what we do in Imperial Beach, and we can go through every slider and screen in a building on one trip: rollers, track, lock and keeper, pile weatherstrip and screen rollers. Pricing is per door, and the pricing page shows the lower rate for additional doors on the same visit.
Should I get stainless rollers this close to the beach?
If the home is west of I-5 in Imperial Beach, we recommend stainless. Standard plated rollers pit and seize in salt air and the door drags again. Stainless steel wheels and axles resist the corrosion, and a stainless track cap protects the new wheels from a track that is already pitted. The pricing page shows the difference per door.
